The
author Milan Kundera at the beginning of the The Unbearable Lightness
of Being, question a long established philosophical tradition of
dividing the world into opposite pairs of negative and positive. In the
light/weight pair, he asks, is light positive and weight negative, or
the other way round? In my series The Lightweight, the bird and
the pear, symbol of lightness and weight, masculine and feminine reflect
